One of Tulsa’s most popular and anticipated lifestyle events is returning to Tulsa Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 19 – 20. The 37th Annual News on 6 Tulsa Women’s Expo with a Cause will fill the Expo Square Central Park Hall with the latest and best products and services for women, entertainment, a Mother-Daughter Look Alike contest, food, workshops and more.
“In addition to 190 exhibits covering areas of health, nutrition, family, beauty, fashion, children, auto and travel - the Women’s Expo is hosting special events designed to be enlightening, energizing and entertaining. Our programs will appeal to a diverse group of women,” says Barbara Donnell, Executive Director.
The Tulsa Women’s Expo has been a leading presence in the women’s market over the years, providing up to date information about merchandise, services, amenities and aids aimed directly at women’s needs, in the workforce and on the homefront.
Fashion, Fitness & Food
Great ‘must have’ clothes for all ages and bodies will walk the runway in the fashion shows; energizing workout demos that will help you find a new workout. A women’s self-defense workshop is also among the activities that attendees can enjoy and participate in,” according to Donnell.
Those who struggle with weekly menus will want to visit the Reasor’s Chef’s Kitchen Stage, where featured women chefs in Tulsa will be providing delicious recipes guaranteed to make the mouth water. Local specialty foods and handcrafts can be found in the Made in Oklahoma Pavilion; and if looking your best is an important part of your life, beauty makeover opportunities will be available throughout the weekend.
Home & Entertainment
Perhaps home improvement and renovation are a goal? Experts will be on hand in the Better Living Home Pavilion to lend their knowledge and advice; and you won’t want to miss the opportunity to enter the News On 6 - $2500 giveaway!
Entertainment is always a delightful addition to the Women’s Expo, and this year, a preview of Tulsa Opera’s production of Emmeline and Talk of Tulsa Show Chorus, an award-winning a cappella ensemble, will be performing for expo goers’ listening pleasure.
Inspiration
One of the most noteworthy features of the exposition is the opportunity for women to learn from other women who share their experience of challenges and successes.
“When women support women, great things can happen,” states Donnell. “Our Tulsa Upfront Women, sponsored by Mark Allen GMC/Buick, brings together six successful women in the community who will share their journey, hoping to inspire other women to embrace their dreams.”
Make it a date to attend and enjoy with friends and family, mothers and daughters. Tickets are $7.00 for general admission and $5.00 with a Reasor’s Rewards Card. Purchasers may also take advantage of a special offer of 2 tickets for the price of 1 with a Reasor’s Reward Card.
