Dr. Welch, along with Certified Nurse Practitioners Laurel Molini and Andrea Wall, use their combined experience to provide the best possible care for their patients.
“Most of our patients call when they are sick and need to be seen fairly quickly. Many are already miserable when they make the call and if we can’t get them in for two to six weeks the symptoms have generally multiplied to an unbearable state which is unacceptable,” explained B. Mark Welch, D.O., F.A.O.C.O, Oklahoma’s principal Ear, Nose, Throat, and Allergy Specialist. This genuine concern for his patients led Welch to search nation wide for another premiere nurse practitioner to add to his staff.
“With the addition of Laurel and some scheduling adjustments, both established and new patients are being scheduled within the week – several the same day or day after,” the center’s scheduler enthusiastically reported.
Laurel Molini, A.R.N.P. (a certified nurse practitioner), brings with her eight years of experience, a love for education, and an energetic spirit. Her experience focuses on diagnostics and patient education. As a family practice nurse practitioner Laurel has broad experience with comprehensive adult and pediatric health care. Additionally, her board certification in family practice gives her license to treat children and oversee their allergy treatment program.
Laurel’s philosophy and experience is right in line with Dr. Welch’s approach to medicine. “She has the desire and ability to treat patients across the lifespan concentrating on holistic care,” said Welch.
One of the nurse practitioners primary responsibilities is to spend time with the patients, educating them on their illness, allergy, treatment plan, or pending surgery. Andrea Wall, A.R.N.P., who has been at the center since 2006 tells us, “I enjoy patient education; helping patients learn to manage their medication, symptoms, diet to maximize their treatment plan is very rewarding.”
Andrea has a teacher’s heart; enjoys working through any questions, anxieties or life changes so the patient completely understands the treatment program. Wall, continues to implement additional educational services to the center; currently she is creating curriculum in efforts to begin patient education classes. Wall, “This is exciting because it will empower our patients to begin taking control and become pro-active in managing their health issues.”
“Both Wall and Molini’s experience and collaborative efforts insure the continuity of care of our patients,” explained Dr. Welch.
Additionally, the center houses Karrie J. Cuttler, CCC/A, a Doctor of Audiology. Dr. Cuttler is a Board Certified, State Licensed audiologist with 11 years experience in hearing evaluation and rehabilitation. Dr. Cuttler has vast amount of experience testing children of all ages, infants, and seniors. Cuttler also enjoys teaching patients about hearing loss, hearing safety, and improving the life of those suffering from loss.
At the Ear, Nose, Throat and Allergy Center Dr. Cuttler also offers comprehensive hearing evaluations and hearing aid services for children and adults, testing and treatment for dizziness/balance disorders, auditory brainstem response testing for pediatric hearing threshold estimation as well as neurodiagnostic evaluations, custom ear molds for swimming, noise protection, cellular phones, and many other services.
