September 25 – November 3, 2018 Tuesday - Saturday 9:00 am - 6:30 p.m. Monday by appointment Closed Sunday • The Pumpkin Festival is a harvest celebration held at Shepherd’s Cross, an authentic working farm, just north of Claremore OK on Scenic Route 66. • Come to the farm and enjoy the peace of a few hours spent in the country. • Wholesome fun for the entire family includes a hay maze, festive outdoor & indoor games, farm animal petting barn, farm demonstrations and festive fall story time. The farm’s focus is educational, fall festive fun. • Truckloads of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes for purchase; as well as straw bales & corn stalks available for your fall decorating. • Wagon rides in the hay meadow go out approximately every 30 minutes. • Farm Museum & Educational Farm Silo is open – free admission; this year the silo is open all the way to the fourth floor; new interactive games; visit our new horse in the museum. • See pumpkins growing on the vine in the Bible Garden • School Tours for all ages available; public and private schools welcome • Buses and large groups are welcome; groups larger than 20 please pre-schedule. • Antique Farm Equipment – demonstrations • The Bible Garden is available for guided or self-guided tours; audio or visual or both. • Shepherd’s Shop, a quaint country gift shop, is an event in itself - featuring a host of festive fall, handmade and farm related gifts and wares from many gifted artisans; a year round “craft fair.” Healthy choice foods and grass fed, grass finished meats and wool items are available. • Shepherd’s Cross is home to Heart of the Shepherd Inc., a public, non-profit Christian organization (501-C3) that teaches Biblical references to the harvest, the animals, farming and gardening. Biblical references are found throughout the farm experience. • The event is available on a donation basis– provided by Heart of the Shepherd. Suggested donation is $5 per person. (suggested – not required) • Wagon Rides in the hay meadow are $6.50 per person; children two and under are free. • Modern indoor restrooms; snacks & beverages. • Pumpkin/ Wagon Ride/Scarecrow packages available $7, $8 & $10 – includes hayride, all activities & a pumpkin to take home - sizes vary with package; while supplies last; see website for more information. • Pumpkins arrive mid-September – available September 18. Beat the crowds. Come early. • The Pumpkin Festival will proceed even in the case of inclimate weather. The Mummy & Me dance is a Halloween dance for just the kids and mom. SORRY, NO DADS ALLOWED. We encourage everyone to come in a costume but not required. There will be a costume contest, scary snacks, mischief music and ghoulish games. Come spend the night with just the kids mom. Tickets can only be purchased in advanced at Nienhuis Park Community Center (3201 N. 9th Street) or Central Park Community Center (1500 S. Main Street) in Broken Arrow. Harvest Carnival—A Halloween Alternative for Children We Have WAY Too Much Candy! Want Some? Broken Arrow, Oklahoma—Friday, October 26, from 6 to 9 p.m., Rhema Bible Church proudly presents Harvest Carnival—a Halloween alternative for children that provides a safe, action-packed, candy-filled party for the entire Tulsa/Broken Arrow community. The event will be held at the Ninowski Recreation Center, located next to the Rhema Park on Rhema’s campus. Rhema is located on Kenosha (71st Street) just east of Aspen (South 145th East Avenue) in Broken Arrow. Open to infants through fifth-graders and their parents, Harvest Carnival offers 80 game booths and a whopping 5,000 pounds of candy. The games and candy are not only fun—they’re free! There will also be a concession stand selling pizza, nachos, popcorn, pop, and more—so everyone can come hungry and eat at the party. Costumes are encouraged. Once a year, the Oklahoma Aquarium opens its doors to trick-or-treaters of all ages to enjoy a safe, fun, indoor alternative to traditional Halloween activities. HallowMarine 2018 will feature our popular giant pirate ship bounce house, a Pee-Wee Pirate Zone just for the little ones and plenty of games, activities and candy on the Trick-or-Treat Trail.
