Pathways Adult Learning Center, a unique Christian organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for adults with intellectual disabilities, proudly announces a 15-anniversary service honoring the remarkable journey of service and growth since its founding in 2009.
The special 15th-anniversary service will take place on February 11th, at 9 AM and 10:30 AM, at The Kirk, located at 4102 E 61st St, Tulsa, OK 74136.
Pathways was founded in June 2009 as an outgrowth of the Community of Friends Ministry of the Kirk of the Hills church, thanks to the help and direction of its founder, Crystal Fulda. The great need for more programs in the Tulsa area to support adults with intellectual disabilities became apparent after countless phone calls and questions from the community. Adults with intellectual disabilities needed a place to live happier, healthier, and more meaningful lives after high school graduation. Pathways was first founded as a ministry of The Kirk, with only seven students attending 12 hours per week. Due to tremendous growth, Pathways became its own 501©3 nonprofit organization in 2015 and now operates 40 hours per week, serving more than 100 students in-person and virtually.
“We are immensely proud to begin our 15th-anniversary year, a significant milestone that represents the tireless efforts and dedication of our team and supporters in a way that honors our beginning and founding,” said Monique Scraper, Executive Director at Pathways. There will be several elements throughout the services that day to honor Pathways and its history, featuring performances by the Pathways Choir.
Pathways invites members of the community, students and their families, supporters, partners, and well-wishers to join in this momentous occasion.
