Pathways is Raising Support to Provide $100k in Scholarships for Adults with Intellectual Disabilities

Pathways Adult Learning Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), is excited to announce the launch of a new fundraising campaign to provide scholarships for its students. The campaign aims to raise $100,000 by the end of the year, with a generous matching donation opportunity of up to $12,500.

Funds Benefit the Hamby Scholarship Fund

Pathways provides a nurturing environment where adults with I/DD can continue their education, build life skills, and actively engage in the community. The funds raised through this campaign will go directly to the Hamby Scholarship Fund, which offers financial assistance to students who would otherwise be unable to access Pathways' life-changing programs. Its scholarship fund has been depleted in 2024, and community help is needed in order to support students and families in need for the coming year.

"Every day, we witness the transformative power of education and community for our students," said Monique Scraper, Executive Director of Pathways. "These scholarships are crucial for individuals like Karla, who, after facing the challenges of growing up in foster care, found an opportunity to really flourish with us. Because of her scholarship, Karla has been able to grow, learn, and belong in a supportive environment. Our goal is to ensure more individuals like her have the opportunity to thrive."
