Who doesn’t love a sweet lush juicy peach? If peaches are your passion, then you won’t want to miss the annual Porter Peach Festival, July 19 – 21, in Porter, Oklahoma. The town of Porter is renowned for their peaches and folks come from far and wide to enjoy their deliciousness every year.
Peach orchards have been an important part of the town of Porter for over 100 years. The first Porter Peach Festival was held in 1960 to highlight its heritage, bring the community together for fun, celebrate their sweet vine ripe peaches, and raise money to fund community projects.
This year, there will be a cooking contest, art show and sale, street games, lots of peaches and ice cream, a car show, bull riding, 5k run, arts and crafts, music, and a Prize Peach Auction.
