Rogers County Youth Services (RCYS) is excited to announce their annual fundraiser for 2017. Grab your poodle skirt and hair grease and come enjoy a retro night all about the 50s.
The Second Annual Sock Hop Benefit will be on Saturday, August 19th from 6-10pm. at the Claremore Conference Center, located at 1400 West Country Club Road in Claremore, adjacent to the Holiday Inn Express.
The evening will be a fun filled experience including a Fifty’s band, burgers, the fixins, live auction, silent auction, and contests galore. Think back on days gone by and try your skill at competing with a hula hoop or the bubble gum blowing contest. There will also be plenty of opportunities to show your prowess on the dancefloor by doing the Twist and the Limbo.
Show up in your best era costume for a chance to take the title of top dresser of the night. A silent auction starts at 6, live auction begins at 7:30.
RCYS has created another fun and unique experience for the community while continuing to raise money to support the youth and families of our community. This event will feature exciting live auction items such as: golfing at the Patriot, Date night for a year, Dinner/movie for 6 at the Will Rogers Memorial, Purdy’s Cabin Guest Retreat and other irresistible selections. A sampling of silent auction items include: OU/OSU blankets, Cooking Italian basket, Rt.66 items, Coffee Galore Basket, Stella & Dot Jewelry basket and much more.
Various sponsorship opportunities are available for this event. Donors have the choice of being a Marilyn Monroe sponsor with a donation of $1,000 or more... to a Buddy Holly Contributor with a donation of $50 to $199.
