On Sunday, July 4, RHEMA Bible Church will present Rockets Over RHEMA, a special celebration for the entire family. Admission is free, and the public is invited to come. The event has been hosted on the beautiful, 110-acre RHEMA campus since 2004 and features one of the biggest and best fireworks displays in the area. More than 30,000 people attended last year, so this is an event you don’t want to miss!

Beginning at 5 p.m., visitors will enjoy a patriotic tribute in the RHEMA Bible Church Auditorium as we celebrate our nation’s freedom. At 6 p.m., the outdoor activities start. Children will have fun at the inflatable games, face painting booth, and temporary tattoo stations set up around the campus. The young (and young at heart) can test their ability to hang on to a mechanical bull and scale a rock-climbing wall.

If you’re more into looking than participating, take in the car show featuring antique vehicles from the ’20s and ’30s, custom-built hot rods, racing cars, and motorcycles.

All the excitement can make a person hungry. If your stomach starts growling, there will be plenty of concession foods to enjoy. With hot dogs, hamburgers,  corn dogs, funnel cakes, popcorn, cotton candy and shaved ice, no one in the family will have to go hungry.

Every year the mechanical bull is a popular draw for the young and the young at heart at Rockets Over RHEMA.

A number of great merchants will have booths and tents set up near the KXOJ stage. Some will offer free prizes and giveaways. The concert will begin around 6:30 p.m. with music the entire family can enjoy from Christian artists Point of Grace, Francesca, Pocket Full of Rocks, Chris August, and The AXIS® Worship Band.

When the performers finish around 10 p.m., the grand finale will begin. Grab a blanket or lawn chair, or just sit on the grass and watch one of the largest fireworks displays in the Tulsa/Broken Arrow area. If you’re not close enough to the stage to hear the loudspeakers, tune your radio to KXOJ 100.9 FM to listen to music synchronized to one of the most amazing fireworks displays you’ll ever see!

Pastored by Kenneth and Lynette Hagin, RHEMA Bible Church strongly supports both the natural family and the corporate church family. Embracing its motto of “life|unlimited,” RHEMA offers a wide variety of programs to help nurture and strengthen each member’s spiritual, emotional and social growth. The church, located on a beautiful 110-acre campus in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, began a full schedule of services in October 1985. Since then, RHEMA Bible Church has grown to become a thriving congregation of approximately 8,000 members.

Adult services are held each week at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sundays and at 7 p.m. Wednesdays. In addition, the church offers excellent programs for nursery and preschool-aged children, and elementary-aged children enjoy services in their high-tech kids|unlimited auditorium. Junior high and senior high teens are ministered to in the AXIS® Youth Department auditoriums Sundays and Wednesdays at 7 p.m. Go to www.rhemabiblechurch.com for more information.
