Fresh, local meats and produce options from the Rose District Farmers Market will now be available Tuesdays, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., beginning Dec. 6, 2022, through February 2023.
A Rose District Tuesday Market pilot program is launching in response to multiple requests from customers and vendors. The market will be open every Tuesday through the month of February. In April, the Rose District Farmers Market will reopen on Saturdays from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. and Tuesdays 4 p.m.-8 p.m.
The Rose District Farmers Market began in 2003 with 10 vendors but now has approximately 50 regular vendors from April through October. The Tuesday market will have 28 vendors with a heavy focus on locally grown meats and produce.
“Our market has grown substantially over the past three years, and we are adapting to the response,” said Farmers Market Facilitator Nicole Orcutt. “Our customers asked for a winter market, they asked for an evening market option, and they asked for a weeknight market. This new Tuesday evening option addresses all those needs.”
As with the Rose District’s Saturday Farmers Market, SNAP benefits will be accepted as payment in the upcoming evening market.
“It is important for us to provide healthy options for our customers and to meet the need for fresh, locally grown foods,” Orcutt said.
The Rose District Farmers Market is located at 418 S. Main St., at the beautiful downtown Broken Arrow Rose District. Go to the Rose District Farmers Market and Rose District Farmers Market Facebook page for more information.
