Cascia Hall Preparatory School and the Cascia Parent Faculty Association (CPFA) will celebrate this year’s annual Cascia Christmas Walk with a production of “Scrooge” in the Performing Arts Center at Cascia Hall. In the spirit of joining the school and community in a tour of four beautifully decorated midtown area homes, Cascia students will add a special holiday performance on the day of the Christmas Walk, Sunday, December 6, 2009.
Cascia Hall will present “Scrooge,” an all-school student production at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on the day of the Christmas Walk. The performance will be putting a new spin on the classic 1970s film musical “Scrooge” using the original script and music, but setting the show in the trendy London underground. Mind the gap as you take a ride on this classic Christmas story.
Cascia Hall will present the Christmas Walk and the performance of “Scrooge” this year to kick-off the holiday season in Tulsa. The home tour will feature four of Tulsa’s renowned florists who will uniquely design each home for the holidays, as well as the Cascia Hall Performing Arts Center, also on the tour.
The Cascia Christmas Walk home tour, which is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature the following homes and designers this year: 2136 E. 26th Pl., designed by Petal Pushers; 2480 E. 27th Pl., designed by Stems; 2690 S. Terwilleger, designed by Bridal Garden by Lindi Collins; and 2818 S. Victor Ave., designed by Ted & Debbie’s Flower & Garden.
The homes will feature beautiful Christmas floral designs and decorations arranged specifically for that particular home in mind. The Cascia Hall Performing Arts Center, decorated by Rebecca's Floral Designs, will also be decorated in full holiday splendor where hot beverages will be served. Visitors will listen to Christmas carols performed by the musical talent of the Cascia Hall Students, the Cascia Hall Bell Choir and Singing Choir.
The Cascia Hall gymnasium will transform into the Christmas Gift Boutique, where over 60 vendors will offer hundreds of holiday gift ideas. Unique gift baskets, colorful poinsettias and beautiful Christmas wreaths will also be available for purchase. Matt Kelley of Lucky's Restaurant will cater a delicious lunch at the Cascia Café from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., where the famous Christmas Kringles and Cascia Cookbooks can also be found to complete every Christmas list.
Tickets for both "Scrooge" and the Christmas Walk are only $15 for general admission seating, and are only $10 for the home tour. Tickets do not need to be purchased to enjoy the festivities at the Cascia Hall Boutique. All tickets are available for purchase at any of the homes on the tour, at Cascia Hall, or in advance online at www.casciahall.org. Transportation is provided free of charge between the school and the homes on the tour.
Cascia Christmas Walk sponsors include Aladdin Flooring, Gates, Winden & Associates, P.C., McGraw Realtors, Tapestry of Faith, Citizen Security Bank, Phillips Design, Scott Wallick Company and Stillwater National Bank.
The event is presented by the Cascia Hall Parent Faculty Association (CPFA) and is chaired this year by Kimberly Norman and Mary Whelan. The Cascia Christmas Walk is a celebration of Christmas that benefits the Augustinian education offered by Cascia Hall Preparatory School. Proceeds from the tour will be applied to the school’s financial aid program and the numerous projects enhancing the educational environment.
