Tulsa Reining Classic

The Tulsa Reining Classic is an action-packed display of equestrian skills at Tulsa Expo Square. Watch cowboys and cowgirls of all ages and abilities compete in various challenging events that will keep you on the edge of your seat. See riders guide horses through precise patterns of circles, spins and stops at speeds alternating between a slow lope and a fast gallop. Cheer for your favorites as some of the most successful open riders to the tiniest young cowboys and cowgirls execute a variety of cantering and galloping feats in this thrilling show. Don’t forget to check the on-site Western trade show for some great deals when you need a break from all the thrilling competition.

Conquer the Gauntlet Obstacle Race
September 2, 2023 | 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Conquer the Gauntlet is a challenging four-mile obstacle course and adventure race that features over 30 obstacles. Held at 181 Ranch in Bixby, this event will bring you face-to-face with taxing obstacles like climbing over walls, crawling through mud and slogging your way through water one to five feet deep. Conquer the Gauntlet will challenge you mentally and physically, but those who complete the event will be given a T-shirt and bragging rights.

American Miniature Horse Registry National Show
September 7-16, 2023
The American Miniature Horse Registry and American Shetland Pony Club are bringing their National Show to Tulsa’s Expo Square during a ten day display of equestrian skills in different classes and categories. Don’t miss out on miniature horses competing for awards in hunter, jumper, showmanship, halter obstacle, obstacle driving, country pleasure driving, fancy turnout, roadster, roman chariot and much more at Tulsa’s Expo Square. This prestigious event features more than 1,500 horses, making it the largest show of this kind in the world. Starts daily at 8:00a.m.

Woolaroc Fall Trail Ride

Watch for buffalo, elk, deer or longhorn cattle on this trail ride that covers approximately 15 miles of scenic terrain on the famous Woolaroc Ranch. Bring your own horse and join the group for a day-long ride over 3,700 acres of ranch land. Hidden away amongst the beauty of the rolling Osage Hills, the country retreat of oilman Frank Phillips will open its gates to riders looking to explore native terrain that is rarely seen by the general public.The Woolaroc Fall Trail Ride includes overnight primitive camping on Friday prior to the ride, a morning and afternoon guided trail ride and admission to Woolaroc. The trail ride fee also includes lunch and dinner on Saturday. Riders must provide their own horses and gear. While not on the trail, participants can enjoy all that Woolaroc has to offer, including the on-site lodge and museum featuring a premier Western art collection, one of the world's finest collections of Colt firearms and an extensive collection of Navajo blankets. Registration for the Woolaroc Fall Trail Ride will begin on Friday, with current Coggins papers required upon arrival. Arrival and check-in time on Saturday is scheduled between 7am and 9am, while the trail ride will begin promptly at 9:30am. Total time in the saddle will be approximately five hours. All participants are encouraged to bring a camera, weather-appropriate clothing, a water canteen, rain poncho, sunscreen and insect repellent. Lunch will typically consist of a barbecue buffalo sandwich, a bag of chips and a cookie. Dinner typically consists of smoked meats, potato salad, baked beans and dessert. Lunches for non-riders are available by reservation only. Camping will be available Saturday night with additional charge. Pre-registration for the Woolaroc Fall Trail Ride is requested.

St. Jude Walk/Run

Embark on a 5K run around the ONEOK Field in downtown Tulsa, or walk the route for a slower-paced bit of fitness fun. At the St. Jude Walk/Run, participants can run or walk the race with friends or compete solo. Whether walking for fun or aiming to beat personal times during the run, exercise in the heart of the Greenwood Historical District at the St. Jude Walk/Run.
