Lights, Concerts, Parade, Shop Local, 2 Hip Chicks Road Show and more are set for The City of Wagoner’s Your Christmas Destination Celebration! Wagoner may be the best kept secret no more….it has become one of the best places for holiday fun and family traditions. The Christmas season begins officially the evening of November 21st and will continue thru January 1st. The opening activities include the Tree Lighting hosted by KOTV’s Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer, Costumed Characters, Santa Photos, Wagoner High School Band and Cheerleaders sharing holiday cheer.
Activities throughout November and December will include the nightly light and music show on S. Main and Semore Park, Christmas Parade, Winter Concerts, Two Hip Chicks Road Show Christmas Market over 150 lighted displays and more!
The Annual Christmas Parade will be held Thursday night December 7th at 7p. Marching bands, floats, costumed characters and of course Mr. & Mrs. Claus will make a special trip from the North Pole to Wagoner for the evening parade. This years’ theme “A Sweet Christmas,” Grand Marshall will be Micah Wisdom, Pastor of United Church. Don’t miss this family fun. Contact the Wagoner Chamber for entry information.
Wagoner area residents and Commercial businesses in Wagoner are encouraged to participate in lighting, yard decorations and inside tree decorating contests. Cash prizes will be awarded; sponsored by Wagoner Economic Development Authority.

Over 150 displays and 200 snowflakes light up the night on N. & S. Hwy 69, Hwy 51 and through downtown along McQuarrie Street and on SE 15th Street. Don’t forget there is a hanging snowflake somewhere that is different and unique…a fun game to play with your children while touring the lighted displays.
The nightly light show has been a favorite since its inception three years ago. The Show runs nightly from 5:00p-10:00p. The shows are designed for all ages. The kiddos will love Grandy the Snowman and his singing snowmen. The show was designed by Jeremy Williams. The light show is sponsored by GRDA, Blue Sky Bank, City of Wagoner, Wooley Plumbing, Walmart, Green Country Lighted Displays and Wagoner Public Works.
The popular winter concerts will be held December 1, 2, 8 & 9, at the Wagoner Civic Center Auditorium. Music styles will range from classic rock, bluegrass, country and gospel.
Two of the headlining artists include Grammy Award Winner and Member of the Grand Ole Opry Rhonda Vincent & The Rage. She will appear on Friday, December 8th and will perform a special Christmas Show. Saturday, December 9th Oklahoma favorite Grady Nichols will bring his Christmas Magic to the Wagoner Civic Center. Other performing artists include: Spring Street, Heartland Xpress, Roving Gambler Band, The Cave Dwellers with more to be confirmed. Concert sponsors include: Arrest, Burger King, Taco Bueno, BancFirst, Kevin Grover GMC, Wagoner County Abstract.
A brand new addition to Wagoner Your Christmas Destination will be the Two Hip Chicks Road Show scheduled for December 15 & 16th. This traveling Road Show is crafty, trendy, yummy, and the shopping will be so much fun. Great ideas for those last minute gifts. Hours on Friday- 5p.-8p. and Saturday 9a-4p. Don’t miss the Historic Home Christmas Tour on Sunday, December 3rd hosted by the Wagoner Rose Garden Club. Tour the fabulous historic homes in Wagoner decked out in holiday splendor. Kiddos can also enjoy “Stuffy Night” at the Museum with their favorite stuffed animal. The evening will feature special craft, Christmas Story and refreshments presented by Wagoner Pizza Hut.
