Tuesdays in the Park, presented by ARTSOK-The Regional Arts Alliance of Broken Arrow, is a long-running success for arts in Broken Arrow. Each Tuesday evening in June, 7 - 9 pm, a musical performance is presented on an outdoor stage in Central Park, 1500 S. Main St. The grassy slope of the park provides an excellent amphitheater for the crowds relaxing and listening...and often dancing. Tuesdays in the Park is free to attend and appropriate for families.

The Rose District in Downtown Broken Arrow offers visitors a great opportunity to spend extra time shopping and enjoying the vibrant community. USA Today has listed the Rose District as Oklahoma’s entry for “Charming Main Streets Across the US”, so don’t miss the chance to check it out before the concert.

Music lovers are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs. Attendance ranges from 350 adults to 600, but each year the event is growing. Attendees are welcome to bring their own food and drinks.  Also, a variety of food vendors are available.  These generous vendors donate a portion of profits to ARTSOK to support this event. All other expenses are funded by donors and grants. This year’s vendors include Broken Arrow Civitans famous hamburgers, Stu B Que and Kona Ice.  AVB Bank is the major event donor and supporter of ARTSOK.

Talented musical groups are eager to play one of these Tuesday evening concerts and music is selected for variety of styles. This is the kind of event that draws people from all over, and showcases Broken Arrow in a very upbeat way. Below are the 2018 musical groups featured.

June 12:  Zodiac

They remain one of the most requested bands around and were a big hit with their appearance in 2017 at Tuesdays in the Park. Very danceable rock that is suitable for all ages.

June 19:  Retro Rockets

Formerly Eddie & the Ecclectics, they created a triumphal comeback with a series of shows that reenergized a loyal following from its glory days at the Brook Theatre.  It’s great Doo Wop, pre-Beatles Rock ‘n’ Roll with comical theatrics, one killer band and wonderful backup singers.

June 26:  Weston Horn and the Hush

NOBODY is as hot as this band in this area right now.  Amazing energy and power horn-band rock.  They compliment their originals with many crowd favorites that include songs of the Blues Brothers among others.
