On March 10, 2024, CEO Mindy Tiner celebrated 10 years at Tulsa SPCA! In honor of this special event the Tulsa SPCA has a goal is to raise $10,000 in recognition of Mindy’s dedication to the organization.
Tulsa SPCA has seen tremendous growth in programs and services, staff, infrastructure, and resources under Mindy’s leadership and, to celebrate, they will be hosting an anniversary reception. Light appetizers and drinks will be provided. The anniversary celebration will be held at Tulsa SPCA Veterinary Clinic Lobby, 2910 Mohawk Blvd, Tulsa, OK 74110 on Thursday, April 18, 5:30-7pm.
“I am so thankful to be in a community where so many people recognize the intrinsic value of animals and are willing to join us in our mission to improve the lives of dogs and cats, and their human companions. Your donations make our work possible. I am beyond grateful for the support and so excited to see what we can do together in the next ten years!” said Mindy.
The Tulsa Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (Tulsa SPCA) was founded in 1913 by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to help homeless dogs and cats, and protect abused animals in the community. For more than 110 years, Tulsa SPCA has worked diligently to serve as an advocate and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. Over the years, the organization has continued to grow and expand its programs and services. In addition to pet adoptions and a low-cost veterinary clinic, the Tulsa SPCA also has a Mobile Adoption Center, a Mobile Medical Unit, a Cruelty Investigation and Diversion program, as well a number of community engagement programs, like Pets Are Love (PAL), which is based on animal-assisted therapy and an anti-bullying/humane education program for elementary age youth. Tulsa SPCA is not affiliated with the ASPCA and relies on the support of the local community.
