Rex Marsh, owner of Harmony Star Marble & Granite, stands beside a display of granite that will be turned into a beautiful countertop for someone’s kitchen or bathroom.
For the second year in a row, Harmony Star Marble & Granite has been voted Rogers County Reader’s Choice for the best marble company. Harmony Star is celebrating 10 years in business at its current location with an anniversary sale in October.
Owner Rex Marsh has been involved in the manufacturing, fabrication and installation of cultured marble and granite countertops, showers and bathtubs for 35 years. In 2004, he opened his own business located east of Claremore. Marsh made the decision to open Harmony Star Marble & Granite so he could cater to builders and home remodelers in the Rogers County area. However, his company’s reputation for excellence has earned him repeat business from Tulsa, Mayes County, Grand Lake, Skiatook and Broken Arrow as well as Rogers County.
Located halfway between Claremore and Pryor off Highway 20, the premier granite company offers four different products at one location, including new eco-friendly products that include, among other things, recycled glass. “We offer cultured Italian marble and quartz, manufactured stone and Brazilian granite from the least expensive to the high end,” he adds. “This is what sets us apart from the competition. You can get everything you want right here, including sinks.”
You don’t need to travel from one business to another if you are remodeling your bathroom or kitchen or building a new home. “From the smallest job to the biggest job, whether it is one vanity top or a whole house, we can work with you to complete your project,” says Marsh. This includes showers and tubs.
The family-owned business with six employees, who have been with Harmony Marble since it opened 10 years ago, believes in treating its customers right. “I depend on my employees, who do a good job, and I try to treat everyone honestly. I want my customers to be happy when the job is done,” he says. “We have a good rating with the BBB and with local people so we get a lot of referrals – and, if there is a problem, whether it was our problem or not, we take care of it. Our motto is, ‘The nicest compliment we can receive is the referral of your friends and family.’”
If you are getting ready to remodel or build a new home, Harmony Star can provide you with a variety of options. You can view samples in their showroom but if you don’t find what you want, Marsh offers customers an opportunity to select something else directly from one of their three stone warehouses in Tulsa. However, Marsh now includes more slabs on the premises from which customers can choose, saving gas and a trip to Tulsa or Broken Arrow.
“What sets us apart from stores who don’t specialize in countertops, showers and tubs, but do offer some of the same products as us, is that we don’t use different subs on every job,” says Marsh. “Our turn-around time on a job is a week to 10 days from the time an order is placed. Our employees do all of the work.”
The business can do it all from start to finish, including the plumbing. Harmony Marble specializes in custom, quality work to turn your bathroom or kitchen into a work of art that you can be proud to show off to your family and friends. “We are committed to quality work,” he adds, “and we warranty everything we sell and install.”
