Magicians and jugglers provide entertainment and memories for all in attendance at Woolaroc and Kidsfest.
A clear sign that summer is officially here is when Kidsfest arrives at Woolaroc. For more than 25 years, this wonderful event held the last weekend of June provides children with a once in a lifetime experience. Kidsfest 2016 will take place on June 25th and 26th. A few of the features and activities to look forward to this year are magicians and jugglers, train and pony rides, giant inflatables, craft booths, games for children and lots of great food.
Woolaroc has three missions: to educate, preserve the history of the West and to entertain. Kidsfest does these things and aims to provide memories that not only last a lifetime, but bring children back time after time.
Woolaroc is a 3,700 acre museum and wildlife preserve nestled in the Osage Hills, 45 minutes northwest of Tulsa on Highway 123 between Barnsdall and Bartlesville. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It includes a 50,000 square foot museum which houses one of the world’s finest collections of southwest art from the old masters, an 8,000 square foot lodge home which was the country estate of Frank and Jane Phillips along with herds of buffalo, longhorns, elk, deer, water buffalo, scotch highland cattle, zebra and more.
As you enter the front gates of Woolaroc, you come into a magical place where time has seemingly stood still. On the three mile drive to the main campus, keep your eyes peeled for the animals of Woolaroc as you drive past Stone and Swan Lake and the Haunted Grove. Will Rogers declared it “a place like no other in the world” and for one weekend, children from all over are able to call this incredible place their playground! Admission to Woolaroc (which includes Kidsfest) is $12 for adults, $10 for ages 65+ and all children 11 and under are free.
Treat yourself to something special June 25th and 26th and let your day slow down to how things use to be with an old fashioned day at Woolaroc Kidsfest 2016!
